Kicks off Florida Volunteer Month and ADT Always Cares Annual Week of Service
TALLAHASSEE — Volunteer Florida today announced it will host a month-long #BringABook service project with ADT employees in Florida. Taking place April 4 – May 7, it’s being held in conjunction with Florida Volunteer Month and the ADT Always Cares Annual Week of Service.
“Volunteer Florida is proud to work with ADT to engage the company’s Florida employees in service across the state,” said Chester W. Spellman, CEO of Volunteer Florida. “ADT is an excellent corporate partner and we are excited to collaborate so that we can expand Volunteer Florida’s signature #BringABook project statewide.”
“With 3,600 employees working at nearly 20 locations throughout the Sunshine State, ADT is proud to be part of this project which will help educate Florida youngsters,” said Alex Price, ADT Sr. Manager of Community Relations.
Throughout April, Volunteer Florida and ADT will collect new or gently-used elementary school books from employees at ADT offices across the state. The books will be donated to recipient organizations in each region – remaining in communities where ADT employees live and work.
Volunteer Florida and ADT encourage Floridians to use the hashtags #ServeFL and#ADTCares when sharing their photos and service stories.
