TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Governor Scott and Volunteer Florida today thanked actor and producer Cristian de la Fuente for supporting the Florida Disaster Fund to benefit victims of Hurricane Irma. De la Fuente recorded a public service announcement that will be aired statewide by Comcast and other partners. To make a donation, visit FloridaDisasterFund.org or text DISASTER to 20222 to make a $10.00 donation.
Governor Scott said, “We are grateful for Cristian’s support as Florida begins to recover from the destruction caused by Hurricane Irma. We encourage Floridians and people across the nation who want to help Floridians in need to give to the Florida Disaster Fund.”
Volunteer Florida CEO Vivian Myrtetus said, “Volunteer Florida thanks Cristian for supporting the Florida Disaster Fund. As the state’s official fund for disaster response and recovery, the Florida Disaster Fund is a trusted resource for disaster response and recovery in Florida and donations will go directly to those in need.”
The Florida Disaster Fund, administered by the Volunteer Florida Foundation, was activated by Governor Scott to aid those impacted by Hurricane Irma.
